Further change in the Kalthoff Management

As of 1st June, 2023, Mr. Rainer Kalthoff retired from the Management of Kalthoff Luftfilter und Filtermedien GmbH. His decision had been planned over a long time and was sufficiently prepared.

“After my 40th anniversary with the company this year, as well as 23 years of responsibility in the Management I would like to turn to new personal goals now. For this purpose, the coming decade of life seems to me to be the right time to have more time and leisure available for myself.”

In 1983, he joined the private company, formally founded by his father, that year in which the company was renamed in what is today Kalthoff Luftfilter und Filtermedien GmbH.

Together with the further shareholder and Managing Director Mr. Hans-Joachim Badt, the steep rise was achieved from a local production company to an industrial manufacturer with a sales network organized throughout Germany via Kalthoff’s own engineering offices.

In 2000, Mr. Rainer Kalthoff responded the call to the Management Board and, as successor to Mr. Engelbert Kalthoff, made the leap onto the international stage together with Dr. Henrik Badt – also a managing partner of the company since 2002. Together they succeeded in the continuous systematic expansion of the company with the help of a sophisticated product range, an attractive service offer and a strong Kalthoff sales team. Moreover, the constant willingness to invest, in the form of numerous construction phases and mostly complex machines, was undoubtedly also one of the factors of success.

The period of management also saw two globally significant crises, namely the financial crisis in 2008 and the Corona pandemic in 2020, but thanks to a mutual and always productively oriented company policy, Kalthoff is today a respected, strongly positioned company that is facing its next challenges.

This good position is also based on the merits of Rainer Kalthoff and his unwavering tireless efforts. “We are grateful to him for his always obvious attitude, accurate precision and one hundred percent reliability and wish him all the best for his coming years.”

As a shareholder, Mr. Kalthoff will continue to bear responsibility and support the company in an advisory capacity.
